7 years ago I started a blog called “All About the Triple”, with a view to documenting my introduction to cycling, culminating in cycling Mizen to Malin over the course of a week.
While I had the best intentions to use that as a springboard, the intervening years have been fairly barren from a cycling perspective (there was a brief, but an intense attempt at the Paris-Roubaix sportive in 2016, but I’ll come back to that at a later date).
But I essentially decided to start from scratch earlier this year, with a view to getting back on the bike, primarily for my health (weight-loss in particular), but also to socialize a bit more. And for added motivation, in less than 2 months time I’ll be partaking in the Paris2Nice cycle, raising funds for CMRF Crumlin.
In the coming weeks the blog should be a bit more active again, but in the meantime, you can catch up with my training, (and donate!) at https://paris-2-nice-2018.everydayhero.com/ie/michael-halpin
And one final point: with this renewed impetus comes a new blog name – AllAboutTheCompact.com!
